Will TuneMeUp work on my computer?

TuneMeUp runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11. That is the short answer, and it is worth checking before you buy.

What TuneMeUp does not run on

• Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 — TuneMeUp will not run on these.
• Mac computers — there is no Mac version of TuneMeUp.
• Phones and tablets — TuneMeUp is for Windows computers only.

How to check which Windows you have

If you are not sure which version of Windows is on your computer:

1. Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard (the one with the Windows symbol, usually next to the space bar) and press the letter R.
2. A small box opens. Type winver into it and press Enter.
3. A window appears that says which version of Windows you have. Look for “Windows 10” or “Windows 11”.

If it says anything else, such as Windows 7 or Windows 8, TuneMeUp will not run on that computer.

Still on Windows 7 or 8?

Your computer can still be useful. StartMeStick is made for older computers whose version of Windows is no longer supported, and it does not replace what is already on the computer.

What else your computer needs

• An internet connection, to download TuneMeUp and to sign in with the code we email you.
• Permission to make changes when you ask TuneMeUp to fix something — Windows asks you once each time you use it.

TuneMeUp also uses a small Microsoft component called WebView2. Most computers already have it, and if yours does not, TuneMeUp offers to add it while it sets up. There is nothing for you to look up or install yourself.
